To prepare authentic Japanese matcha tea, a traditional bamboo whisk—or chasen—is a must. Whisking the tea builds a light, velvety froth and leaves the brew completely smooth and lump-free.

Before every use, we recommend soaking the tines in warm water for a few minutes to soften the bamboo and make it pliable. After use, store and dry your whisk on a matching ceramic stand to help it hold its shape over time.
