Ci Ripe Pu-erh Tea Cake 357 g (气熟普洱饼)
| Kind: | Puerh |
| Type: | Ripe |
| Gathering place: | Yongde, Lincang County, Yunnan Province |
A new ripe Pu-erh cake, made from tea leaves harvested in the mountains around the village of Yongde, Lincang County, Yunnan Province, in spring 2024. Unlike the taste of Menghai teas, Yongde Shu has a characteristic rich dried-fruit flavor with the signature Yongde bitterness, familiar from the “Sotochka” cake. Very even and clean. Soft, smooth, with a long aftertaste. Do not overbrew, as the tea is young and the signature bitterness can become more pronounced. Cake weight: 357 g.
The tea’s name is pronounced “Ci” and is familiar to anyone with even a slight interest or connection to Chinese culture. It is a cornerstone, the foundation of foundations. It has many meanings, such as breath, scent, energy flow, and so on. Anyone who has practiced Chinese calligraphy, painting, martial arts, music, or medicine knows that it is a fundamental concept that masters use to explain the principles of their craft. There is no exact translation into Russian. One can begin to understand it personally only by constantly recalling it and reflecting on its meaning. A good way, in my opinion, is to notice the character when opening the cake, remember the concept, and meditate on it. Gradually, like water seeping in, understanding enters the field of awareness. And, of course, the deep and soft state from the tea is described as having powerful “Ci.”
Ingredients: puerh tea.
