A renowned smoked tea from the Tong Mu nature reserve, produced in the village of Gua Dun — a unique climatic and ecological area. The tea is harvested only once a year, in late May, at an altitude of around 1,400 meters. The raw material used is Da Chi Gan, with leaves slightly larger than those of Yin Jun Mei.
Withering lasts approximately six hours over gentle heat, allowing a delicate pine-smoke aroma to permeate the structure of the leaf. The smokiness remains present through the final cup, without overpowering other flavor nuances, instead enhancing their depth and volume.
Additional thermal processing during pressing — steaming, shaping, and repeated drying — results in a denser, richer, and more powerful taste compared to loose-leaf tea. The aroma is strong and long-lasting, with notes of dried plum and other dried fruits. The flavor profile is complex, rich, and expressive, while maintaining softness, fruitiness, and balance. The finish is long, warm, and full-bodied.
The brick format is convenient for storage and easily breaks into portion-sized pieces.
Ingredients: black tea.
