A magnificent ceremonial tea from the Alishan natural reserve in central Taiwan. During processing, the leaves undergo vacuum fermentation and a slow charcoal bake at low heat. This light Gaba oolong is cozy, multi-layered, and cheering, characterized by its long-lasting effect. The medium-sized, spherically twisted brown leaves produce a transparent, light yellow-greenish liquor, offering an experience that is both sophisticated and comforting.
Taste and Aroma: The brewed bouquet is light and vivid, featuring spicy-floral notes with hints of creamy biscuit and fruit candies. The fragrance is tender, fresh, and multifaceted. The flavor is rich and full-bodied yet soft, offering a sweetish profile with delicate sourness and spicy nuances that evolve into a lingering, refreshing finish.
Brewing method
Brew the tea with hot boiling water (90-95°C) in a porcelain gaiwan or a teapot of porous clay. The proportion is 4-5 g per 100 ml. The time of the first steeping is about 12 seconds. After that do short steeps (just for 1-2 seconds), increasing the steeping time for each subsequent step, if necessary. You can repeat this method up to approximately 12 times.
