Yue Guang Bai (月光白), or “Moonlight White”, is a white tea from Pu’er County, Yunnan Province, China. It is made from young buds and leaves using traditional Yunnan sun-withering techniques.
Appearance
Its hallmark is the striking contrast of the leaves: one side dark brown, the other pale and covered in fine silvery fuzz.
Aroma & Infusion
Delicate, fruity-floral aroma. The liquor is clear and light-golden, gradually deepening into an amber hue.
Taste
Smooth and sweet, with no bitterness or astringency. A hint of acidity brings freshness, followed by a soft, enveloping aftertaste. With age, honey notes emerge, making it resemble red (black) teas.
