Rou Gui Chun Cha is a classic Wuyi rock oolong, harvested in spring and crafted using the traditional Yan Cha production method with a medium roast in the Wuyi Mountains of Fujian Province. Regarded as one of the most celebrated Wuyi oolongs, it is prized for its distinctive spicy character, rich aroma, and layered flavour. An excellent choice both for discovering Wuyi rock teas and for everyday enjoyment.
Appearance: Medium-sized, tightly twisted leaves in deep brown with subtle burgundy hues. The liquor is clear, displaying a rich amber-chestnut colour.
Aroma: Deep and warming, with notes of cinnamon, wood resin, baked pastry, sweet spices, and delicate floral nuances.
Taste: Smooth, silky, and full-bodied. Layers of caramelised fruit, warming spices, toasted bread, and woody notes unfold in the cup. A gentle berry-like astringency adds structure, while the long, naturally sweet finish leaves a refreshing and comforting aftertaste.
Features & Benefits: Rou Gui is renowned for its warming character, expressive aroma, and ability to deliver rich flavour through multiple infusions. Its medium roast creates an elegant balance between aromatic intensity and smoothness. A comforting tea that helps you unwind, restore your energy, and enjoy a slow, mindful tea session at any time of the year.
