Shan Hu Guo — red tea with Szechuan pepper, produced in Hubei province.
Appearance: Smallish, dark, mature raw tea leaves pressed into 5-gram tablets.
Aroma: Sharp and bright, ginger-lemon profile opening with undertones of spices, chili pepper, grapefruit, lime, and cardamom.
Taste: Light-bodied yet vibrant, with a pronounced tartness. Characteristically, it completely lacks any sharpness or heat from the Szechuan pepper. The dominant notes are citrusy, dried-fruity, and spicy — ginger, cardamom, orange chips, mandarin peel, and lemon curd.
Benefits & Features:
- Warms the body well, restores energy, and supports the nervous and immune systems.
- Elevates mood and stimulates the release of endorphins.
Ingredients: black tea, pepper.
