| Aroma: | Orchid, subtle spices, light toast. |
| Taste: | Floral, mineral, long sweet finish. |
Qi Lan, which translates from Chinese as “Wonderful Orchid,” is a relatively new Wuyishan tea cultivar with small delicate leaves and elegant floral notes. This tea is considered a semi-rock oolong, sourced from the Huo Yan Shan mountain area near Xing Cun village on the border of the Wuyi Shan Nature Reserve.
Its light floral-honey aroma unfolds with fresh notes of nectar and rye bread, while the Qing Huo roasting technique highlights the tea leaf’s natural sweetness and purity.
The tea’s bouquet is rich and multi-layered: bready-spicy, caramel, and floral nuances intertwine harmoniously with notes of berries and wood resins. The flavour is juicy and slightly astringent, with delicate berry acidity and a long, expressive aftertaste.
Ingredients: oolong tea.
