Red Ruby is a premium black tea developed in 2013 as a counterpart to Green Emerald (绿宝石), using high-quality tea cultivars from Guizhou Province. Produced by Guizhou Guicha Group, this tea grows in highland gardens at elevations between 500 and 1400 meters. It was awarded the German DLG Agricultural Gold Medal in 2016.
The tea is hand-picked in spring and summer (standard: one bud with two to three leaves). Processing includes withering, shaking, rolling, full oxidation, and shaping into granules known as "pan-flower" shape. When brewed, Red Ruby produces a bright red liquor with an elegant, lingering sweetness. The aroma is rich and floral with fruity undertones, while the flavor is thick, smooth, and naturally sweet with a soft finish.
Ingredients: red tea.
