Huoshan Huang Ya (Huoshan Yellow Bud) is a rare and refined yellow tea from the mountainous Huoshan region of Anhui Province. The unique yellowing process Men Huang gives the tea a rich, velvety body while softening the sharp vegetal character typically associated with green tea.
The tea opens beautifully in preheated teaware, with the dry leaves releasing deep umami notes and the warm aroma of toasted pumpkin seeds. The first steep reveals fresh aromas of wet leaf and nuts, which gradually evolve through subsequent steeps into juicy berry nuances.
The brewed tea offers a delicate and multi-layered bouquet: a spicy-herbal profile is complemented by notes of biscuit, flowers, and toasted nuts. The liquor is clear, silky, and beautifully golden.
Its flavor is delicate and gently sweet, with soft astringency and refreshing acidity, leading to a long, juicy finish.
Ingredients: yellow tea.
